Herbern Marina, Aker Brygge Oslo
Aker Brygge is an area in Oslo, Norway. It is west of Pipervika an arm of the fjord on the former ship yard of Akers Mekaniske Verksted, which was shut down in 1982. Before the shipyard was established there in 1854, the area was known as Holmen. It was an old yard where some industrial corporations established, and a suburban establishment grew in the early 19th century. Today it’ different! Aker Brygge is where people meet, mingle and visit. Herbern Marina’s location is perfect, just steps away from most of the activities, landmarks and attractions. The Town City Hall is (3 min.), main street Karl Johansgate including The Parliament Building, The Royal Castle and Nathionalteatret stasjon (5 min.), The Fortress Akershus Festning (5 min.), and The Ibsen Museum (5 min.). We are happy to welcome Steff Herbern and his team to Smögen and we hope that we can share some knowledge and experience about how to best manage a marina in the future.
Later the same day our friend Hans Rysgaard from Langelinie Lystbådshavn arrives and we will hopefully ad a Danish flavour to the Norwegian/Swedish discussions.
As many of you know Langelinie is a pier and park in central Copenhagen, Denmark and home of the statue of The Little Mermaid. The area has for centuries been a popular destination for excursions and strolls in Copenhagen. Most Cruise Ships arriving in Copenhagen also berth at Langelinie Pier.
Herbern Marina will be able to book any day and we hope that Langelinie will follow shortly. We have further meetings planned with harbours in Denmark and Norway and hope that we will have a couple of them bookable already this summer. You can be of much help if you send us an e-mail to info@dockspot.com and tell us which harbours you want to see bookable this summer.
